General Contracting
Benchmark Development is licensed and bonded in both California and Nevada to act as the general contractor for residential and light commercial projects.
Sub-Contracting
For projects that are beyond our capacity to act as general, or if we have not been invited to bid the project as general, Benchmark Development routinely performs straw bale and rammed earth construction as a sub-contractor.
Design
Over the years, we have designed and built numerous projects, and are available for this service especially in cooperation with a licensed architect or engineer, in order to facilitate permitting.
Consulting
One of the most valuable services we offer is to meet early in the design process with the owner and designer to analyze the project from the builder’s point of view. Looking at a project from a different perspective typically yields ideas and observations which lead to savings and a smoother contract with fewer change orders and delays.
